Please welcome the beautiful and talented Kelly Peach to WINDOWWALL!! We are beyond thrilled to have her join us with all of her knowledge and talent!!

Having over 10 years experience with Aveda Institute training (which is the best) then on to taking advanced education with Toni & Guy and graduated from the Bumble and Bumble University, she moved right into using the straight razor and shined her talent on L.A., where she worked at Fred Segal Salon. She’s also been an advanced educator at previous salons.

In relation to color she loves blondes… high fashion blondes… natural blondes…. which ends up being her most favorite thing to do. But don’t worry, because she also loves color extremes, in changing a client from dark to light or light to dark. She is beyond up to trend and skill on how to do the best ombre for your complexion.

She loves loves fashion and finds a lot of her inspiration there. All of the different shapes, textures and design.

The Name and Its Inspiration

So, as many of you know, I’ve been trying to think of a name for a great deal of time and everyone said, “when you hear it, you will know.” Well, I had this moment after I asked my dear friend and muse Shaun from Seagull if he had any ideas. Anyone who knows Shawn knows he is not short on intelligence, ideas or inspiration. He wrote to me and said this:

“The Window Wall is the name of a fictional gay mega disco in the very historically accurate murder mystery novel called The Lure by Felice Picano. Set in the 70′s, The Window Wall was the absolute epicenter of everything decadent, glamorous, sexy and chic. The club was a fictional club, but based on something real taking place near the west side highway/lower chelsea. Its a great peak into west village gay culture in the 70’s.”

I knew then… and here it is now…

Farewell Melody

It is bitter sweet to say goodbye to someone whom you have gotten to know so well. Melody has decided to pack up and move south, landing in the up and coming city of Nashville, Tennessee. She is taking her talents to open a vintage store with a lot to choose from ranging in vintage apparel, records and a lot more.. I will keep you all posted as I hear the latest. Her last day is March 17th. So, please book your appointment, for time slots are going fast!! We will miss her greatly!

Men’s Haircuts

Well, the new year has begun just right. I’ve heard many great new year’s resoultions. A resolution that I think is a good one, is for men to keep up with their cuts, keeping them clean and fresh. The haircuts that we do for men range from offering straight-razor cuts, scissor over come cuts (basically the same as with a clipper, but with amazing grow out), clipper cuts, fades and any high fashion look you’re going for. All of our gentlemen receive a shampoo with a scalp massage, brow trimming, side-burn enhancement with a glass of wine in hand while listening to the most current tracks.

Happy Holidays from us to you!

Sparkle… pop… bubbles! Wait, she sent us a bottle from across the room. As we all were dressed in sequins a girl’s best friend, we celebrated our first year at the Woodsmen Tavern together!! What a pure delight. If you all haven’t been, we highly recommend it!! Make sure to ask Evan the best bartender in Portland to make you something special and he will just blow your little socks off! Thanks Evan!!

The holidays are always something special. I love the lights! And I love good hair along with good fashion. Hand in hand two of my favorite things. That night we did just that, for we have been doing exceptional work at the studio making an extra snip here and a following of the client to the door to perfect the final pieces of mastering just that! Color as good as sparkly lights!

We had a fabulous time sharing love and laughter at our table!!

Please Welcome Danielle!

Our newest addition to the growth of our artistry. I am glad and excited to be introducing Danielle with her brilliance. Inspiration that stems from film, art, music and photography she has an eye for talent.

Danielle has been sharing her gifts for some time now. She apprenticed under a talented NYC stylist that had relocated to Nashville to welcome in a new home for himself. Danielle found this amazing opportunity to apprentice under this master. He showed her the inner secrets of the industry. Danielle has a great amount of knowledge and a high skill level. She shows her magic through her scissors and knows how to showcase color through her amazing Balayage abilities.

One Year Anniversary

It was a night we all will not forget. The room was lit in laser light beams with projections that captivated all. We all celebrated the One Year Anniversary of our doors being open now for a little over that. It has been an amazing year and so glad to have welcomed in with our dearest friends. STRFKR and Alexico played two very special sets… making it even more enduring and Dan Woods played all the hottest tracks of right now while blowing our visual senses.
